Welcome, Campers!

Harry Chapin captured the essence of life when he wrote his song “Circle” for the 1972 album, “Sniper and Other Love Songs.”  This song is included in the Great Escape “Fan.” and was one of many favorites sung by Kaye Glass, our beloved song mistress, who sadly passed away this spring. Among so many other committees and organizations to which she belonged, Kaye was an original member of the Great Escape Committee that began with a conversation among a group of us in 2004. The Great Escape Committee invites you to sing with us on both Friday and Saturday evenings. We hope that those who knew Kaye will tell their stories and keep a Girl Scout song in their hearts as Kaye would have wanted.  

Whether you are a brand new Great Escape camper, or a seasoned veteran, we look forward to enjoying each other’s company in late September. And, we hope that Harry’s song, just like Kaye’s music, will touch you personally.
