Welcome to Great Escape 2025!

The Great Escape Committee begins its plan of work for the upcoming event in January of that year by holding a “retreat.”  One definition describes the word as a way to “get away from it all.”  What it does for us is give us a time to reflect on our last event, take a deep breath and focus on how we can do better.  Note that I didn’t say a time to “rest and relax!”  No way!  The overnight is filled with activities that can include get-to-know-you games, celebrations and sharing of ideas.  Amid a jam-packed agenda, there’s always great food and camaraderie, singing till the wee hours, and a bit of sleep.  

The result of the time and energy that we put into our retreat mirrors how successful Great Escape will be in September!  And you benefit from our efforts!  Our hope is that you will bring home memories of great food, camaraderie, singing till the wee hours and a bit of sleep.  And if you have time to get away from it all, rest and relax, all the better.
